In the 1950 s and 1960 s,under the background of national identification and investigation,in 1957,the National Committee of the National People's Congress and the National Affairs Committee of the State Council visited Professor Huang Anmiao,Renmin University of China, and Mr.Chou Furong,Vice-Director of Religious Affairs Department of the Bureau of Religious Affairs of Guizhou Province,in order to find out the social and historical situation of ethnic minorities and rescue the precious historical and cultural materials that are about to disappear.Wujiaojiao Village has been investigated and visited, and written a book entitled "A Miao Village-The Economic Development of Wujiaojiao Village in Taijiang County,Guizhou Province".This is of great significance to the study of the history and society of Wujiaojiao village at that time.In a twinkling of an eye, more than sixty years have passed.I wonder what changes have taken place in the minority areas investigated by Professor Huang Anmiao and Mr.Chou Furong in that year. With such a problem,On the basis of consulting a large number of investigative documents in the 1950 s and 1960 s,revisited Wujiaojiao minority villages, and re-investigated the history, culture and social life of the villages 60 years later, trying to present the economic and social changes of the region through the comparison between the past and the present.Wujiaojiao is a Miao village inhabited by three big families. In the 1950 s,Professor Huang Anmiao and Mr.Chou Furong conducted a field survey on Wujiaojiao. At that time,Professor Huang Anmiao and Mr.Chou Furong focused on the migration and economic life of Wujiaojiao Miao ethnic group.Their main purpose was to clarify the family of Wujiaojiao ethnic group and prepare for the work of ethnic identification. It is less involved in ethnic relations and customs. In this study, based on the investigation of Professor Huang Anmiao and Mr.Chou Furong, the author further investigated the social life, customs and interpersonal relationships of the Miao people in Wujiaojiao village. The survey found that the overall situation of Wujiaojiao village has undergone great changes, such as the village's spatial layout, residential buildings, material living standards, consumption structure and so on.In this great change, there are temporary problems such as involution of interpersonal relationship, duality of ethnic identity and imperfect traditional cultural inheritance system. These can be regarded as the results of national self-selection,self-adjustment and self-creation.Under the impact of modernization,in order to meet various challenges, adapt to development and create a better life, traditional villages must adjust their own culture and rebuild their ability and mechanism to deal with various challenges. In short,no matter where the future development of the village will go,Villagers' cultural memory of their homes has become the core of maintaining village cohesion.Villagers' nostalgia for villages is deepened by the feedback of village memory and cultural identity.Secondly, with the promotion of national policies, rural elites and other forces in recent years, villagers are increasingly aware of the importance of their own unique culture, which to some extent reconstructs the value system and cultural demands of local culture;thirdly,in the context of globalization and modernity.Under the background of urbanization, people begin to pursue the pastoral life with natural freshness, beautiful environment and livable life, which will accelerate the change of the relative "marginal" status of village development and make the village retreat from the label of "backwardness" and "poverty" in history. Finally,if traditional villages want to realize rural revitalization, they must rely on their own cultural consciousness besides the help of various external forces,i.e.The main body of national culture faces the selfdevelopment consciousness and spiritual awakening of rural revitalization.
