A Report On The Practice Of Chinese Translation Of News On Russian University Websites From The Perspective Of Skopostheory

With the deepening of globalization,cooperation between Russian and Chinese universities are taking place with increasing frequency.At the same time,more and more Russian universities are paying attention to publicity so that more people in China and abroad can know the dynamics of the universities.The most important thing in external publicity is to build a Chinese website.News on college websites is the easiest way to know a university.The high-level translation to Chinese of college news online can not only help to improve the image of the university,but also help to enhance the publicity effect.This practice report is based on the news on the website of the Novosibirsk State University(translated by the author)and the translation theory of Vermeer's teleology,whose content inciudes language features of text and specific translation examples,combining with which,the author analyzed and summarized the methods of word translation(amplification,omission and conversion)and sentence translation(voice conversion,adjustment of word order,division and co-translation).Finally,the author summarized the problems and methods that emerged during the translation process.Hope that this report could provide a reference for the translation of news on Russian university websites.
