Research On Teaching Materials For Chinese As A Foreign Language Course

Learning Chinese is bound to learn Chinese culture.With the development of times,the enthusiasm of foreigners to learn Chinese culture is getting higher and higher and only language learning can no longer satisfy the studying needs of foreign students.Consequently,cultural teaching plays a significant role in Chinese teaching for foreigners.More specifically,teaching materials are the basics of teaching itself and the quality of teaching materials can directly affect teaching effects.Therefore,a high-quality cultural material that can meet the needs of learners is particularly essential in Chinese teaching for foreigners.Taking the case of "China's Cultural Heritage",this dissertation will focus on analyzing the current research situation of cultural materials as well as the relationship and the meanings between cultural teaching and the teaching materials.It'll also analyze "China's Cultural Heritage" from the aspects of content,language,practice and the design of binding and layout and then find problems according to the final analysis.Based on the principles of textbook edition,some requirements on editing cultural materials will be given and specific writing practices will also be proceeded in this paper.First,introducing research meanings,present research situations,research contents and research methods of this dissertation.Second,introducing the cultural teaching materials,positioning cultural teaching and cultural teaching materials and illustrating the relationship and significance between them.Third,counting relevant cultural teaching materials in the past 20 years and classifying and summarizing them;analyzing past surveys;analyzing "China's Cultural Heritage" from the aspects of content,language,practice and the design of binding and layout and then finding its success and shortcomings.Forth,according to the general principles of textbook writing,some requirements on editing cultural materials will be given and specific writing practices will also be proceeded.Fifth,illustrating some shortcomings of this paper and overviewing and summarizing this dissertation.
