Punctuation marks are an integral part of written language and their importance cannot be ignored.However,punctuation teaching has not received due attention in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Therefore,there are many errors in the usage,writing form and format of the punctuation among international students.Based on this,this paper mainly takes junior and senior international students as our research object,and studies their way of misusing the punctuation.This paper mainly includes six chapters: The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly includes the purpose,significance,object,content,and methods of the research,the theoretical basis,the related research at homeland and abroad,and finally the collection as well as the description of the corpus.the second chapter is the overall statistics of the punctuation usage from junior and senior international students.This chapter analyzes the overall using and the misusage of the punctuation among international students.The third chapter is the type of misusage of the punctuation among them,within which this chapter analyzes three main types of punctuation errors made by foreign students.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the reasons for the punctuation misusage of international students.This chapter studies the reasons for the punctuation misusage.The fifth chapter is the questionnaire analysis.This chapter demonstrates the design,distribution and recycling of the questionnaire,and analyzes the effective questionnaires.The sixth chapter is the teaching suggestion and design of punctuation marks for junior and senior international students.In this part,this paper gives teachers some teaching suggestions as to the misusage and the way of designing teaching methods accordingly.The final part is the conclusion,which is a brief summary of the previous chapters.And also point out the innovations and shortcomings of this paper.
