With the establishment of One Belt And One Road,China is increasingly connected with other countries in the world.People all over the world are learning Chinese.The number of international students is increasing year by year,Learning Chinese is an important task for international students in China.In addition to Chinese characters,words and grammar,there are punctuation marks.Punctuation is an important part of written language and an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Punctuation has the function of both pause statement and sentence mood.Together with Chinese characters,they form a written language to assist the writing and express complete semantics.The mastery of punctuation marks is of vital importance to the use of Chinese by international students.The use of punctuation marks mainly focuses on Chinese writing.The correct use of punctuation marks is helpful for international students to express their ideas accurately when using written language.In view of this,this paper takes 193 Chinese writing assignments of international students in shenyang normal university as the research corpus to specifically analyze the errors of punctuation marks of international students.This paper is divided into five parts.The introduction mainly explains the background of this paper,the research significance,the research summary of punctuation marks in TCSL and the research contents and methods of this paper.The first chapter makes a statistical analysis of the use of punctuation marks in the writing assignments of international students of intermediate and advanced Chinese proficiency.The paper also summarizes the problems in the use of punctuation marks in foreign students from three aspects:body errors,format errors and functional errors.The second chapter analyzes the reasons of punctuation errors in Chinese writing.From the subjective and objective factors of foreign students' study,teachers ignore punctuation,textbook compilation omission,and the bad influence of cultural environment,this paper discusses the reasons for this phenomenon.The third chapter gives some Suggestions on the study of punctuation for international students in China.The opinions are given from three aspects:raising the awareness of punctuation among international students,paying attention to the teaching of punctuation by teachers,and compiling textbooks.The conclusion summarizes the research content and value of this paper,and puts forward the existing deficiencies of this paper.This paper puts forward how to change the negative influence of social environment on international students' punctuation learning,which arouses some thinking.This paper aims to make international students face up to and pay attention to the standard use of punctuation marks,correct the errors in the use of punctuation marks.This paper puts forward some feasible Suggestions for TCSL teachers,and provides some research ideas and thinking angles for future studies on punctuation marks in TCSL.
