The learning needs is the starting point for foreign students to learn Chinese knowledge,and it is also the basis for teachers to design classroom teaching activities.Understanding and analyzing students' learning needs is a necessary prerequisite for our teachers to have high quality and efficient classroom teaching.Based on the needs analysis and motivation of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,this paper investigates the specific needs of foreign students in intensive Chinese reading classes in five universities in Guangzhou by using the methods of literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview.At the same time,it analyses the differences between men and women in these contents.Based on the analysis of the survey results,this paper tries to put forward some suggestions on teaching design.Firstly,the first and second chapters of this paper elaborate the theory of learning needs by means of literature analysis,mainly including the concept of needs and learning needs.Secondly,on the basis of the previous theoretical research on learning needs,the paper divides the learning needs of Chinese intensive reading classes of foreign students into 14 dimensions by referring to the survey results.At the same time,it is subdivided into 64 specific projects for research.Then,the author adopts the research method combining questionnaire survey and interview survey to conduct the survey.Through grouping,coding and analysis of the survey data,the author obtains the results of comparative analysis of the results of foreign students' learning needs for Chinese intensive reading class and the differences between male and female students' learning needs for Chinese intensive reading class.Finally,on the basis of the results of the third chapter,the author tries to put forward strategies and suggestions for teaching design of intensive reading classroom learning needs.
