With the fierce competition of integrated national power and rapid development of science and information technology,international exchanges have been increased frequently.English regarded as official language,which is spoken in different conferences,sports events,and high-tech achievements,transmits information to everywhere.There is no doubt that English plays an essential role in the era of globalized and diversified knowledge economy.Consequently,English education has attracted more attention.Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standard(2011)(Curriculum Standard for short)is programmatic document to guide English education and teaching.On the basis of being aware of Curriculum Standard comprehensively and precisely,most English teachers should combine it with English education and teaching in junior middle school creatively,grasping its spirit thoroughly.Then,teachers can apply Curriculum Standard to teaching,carrying out it in class,reaching the prescriptive goals in the end.The research with the English teachers in WanZhou junior middle schools as objects of investigation,explores these teachers' status of understanding and implementation to Curriculum Standard by the questionnaire survey,including preface,curriculum objectives,grading standard,teaching and implementation recommendations,the development and utilization of curriculum resources suggestions and so on.What's more,the research also applies classroom observation to view teachers' behaviors like teaching,assessment and the development and utilization of curriculum resources.Next,the study generalizes factors that have effects on the status of realizing and implementation to Curriculum Standard,and find out some problems,then analyze these problems from the following aspects,such as teachers strength,the transition of English language teaching between the primary and secondary schools,text description,attention to study Curriculum Standard.What these countermeasure and advice have been put forward is to improve teachers' practical operation capacity of Curriculum Standard from two sides.One is to intensify teachers' understanding to Curriculum Standard which involves mending the context description,and reinforcing teachers' autonomous learning.The other is to promote teachers' practical operation capacity toCurriculum Standard related to the following four fields:combination with bringing in and going out,consideration to theoretical learning and practical application,investment to hardware and software in parallel,and synchronization to teachers' development and students' growth,etc.
