In the early 20th century,Chinese society in the period of great change of the rep lacement of the old and the new and collision of culture.People calls for change,at the s ame time with the development of the new culture movement,and the cultural education need innovation urgently.Under the strong impact of the western advanced thoughts on Chinese traditional culture,a large number of intellectuals went to study abroad to seek ways to save the country and toexplore hard for the development of Chinese society.In thishistorical background and cultural context,many art workers try to save the country through art education,among which yan wenliang is one of the most representative art e ducationthinkers.His educational idea advocated that industry and fine arts should be cl osely linked and vocational education should be carried out,which cultivated a large nu mber of practical fine arts talents for the society at that time.His practice positively infl uenced the development of the society and the innovation of fine arts education.Yan we nliang's practical art education thought and the practice unifies,until today his education theory still has the important instruction function to the Chinese art education.Yan wen liang is familiar with both traditional Chinese art and western painting art.He adheres to the path of oil painting all his life and is committed to the integration of Chinese and w estern oil painting.His rich western artistic attainments and high national cultural self-c onfidence have formed his unique artistic style.This article takes yan wenliang's art education thought and artistic style characte ristic as the main research object.First studies yan wenliang's main education idea,the u nderstanding of his complete art education thought system.He takes the practical art as t he main objective,the art and the science dialectically unifies carries out in its education idea.Secondly,through the analysis of yan wenliang's artistic experience and historical background,this paper tries to explore the reasons for his educational thoughts and artis tic style.Then,the artistic characteristics of yan wenliang's three periods are taken as th e clue,that is,the rigorous principle of visual perception,the integration of light and color,the soul of poetry,and the unity of artistic conception of oil painting style characteris tics,showing the Oriental aesthetic consciousness and value concept,highlighting the m eaning of "localization".By placing van wenliang's educational thoughts and artistic atti tudes in today's society,we can realize that his thoughts on practical art education have positive practical significance for the development of Chinese art education at the prese nt stage.Yan wenliang's artistic attitude of pursuing "truth","kindness" and "beauty" m akes us feel a kind of sincere power and connotation,as well as the painter's deep love f or nature,when facing his works even after decades.
