Research On Interpersonal Communication In Country Square Dance

Under the background of social transformation,the rapid development of the market economy has driven the rural society to move forward,and the urban-rural dual structure system has intensified the differentiation between urban and rural areas.The peasants move out of the village and migrated to the city,breaking the structure of the traditional rural social community,which led to the change of rural social relations and the crisis of rural cultural identity.Communication is a necessary process for the maintenance of community relations and cultural identity.The key to communication lies in the construction of communication relations and the interaction of communication subjects.It is the integration process of social relations.In rural society,interpersonal communication,as the most basic and widespread means of communication,plays an important role in maintaining rural social relations,cultural inheritance and social progress.With the development of square dance in rural areas,on the one hand,its characteristics of occupying public space provides a place for villagers to communicate,on the other hand,based on the characteristics of square dance itself,the body becomes the medium of expression,and its collective and interactive nature also strengthens the organization and communication of villagers.Behind the spread of square dance culture are various patterns of rural social interaction,which epitomize the reconstruction of rural public space and the change of rural social relations.China's rural society has its own distinctive feature,which can be seen from the interaction of the villagers.The interactive practice in square is placed under the background of the breakdown of rural community relations and the crisis of rural cultural identity.Taking square dance as a new thing,studying its phenomenon of communication in rural society is of great significance to understand the rural social relations and rural community culture in social transformation era.Normally the interactions of villagers in daily life occur in specific spatial fields.Therefore,the author chose a fixed village as the research object.Considering the authenticity and the accessibility of the investigation site,the author chose his hometown for doing fieldwork and writing ethnographies.Because of the local economic structure of Z village,the migration of villagers is not large,and the characteristics of traditional villages are still preserved.The interpersonal communication network of traditional rural society can be restored based on the social relations that have not yet been completely transformed.At the same time,Z village is relatively wealthy due to relying on resource economy.The entry of industrialization and marketization has indeed had a visible impact on Z village.Z village basically has the changing characteristics of the new rural society under the background of transformation.It is of typical significance to study the influence of square dance on interpersonal and social relations in village Z.Through the method of participatory observation and in-depth interviews,this paper makes a long-term follow-up study of the square dance group in village Z.It restores the characteristics of rural interpersonal communication by observing the daily life of dancers and onlookers,and reveals the influence of square dance as a medium on rural society.The second chapter reveals the reasons why villagers dance in the square from the micro,meso and macro levels,that is,the background of the development of square dance in rural areas.From the three perspectives of the individual's acceptance motivation,the needs of rural social interpersonal communication and the national macro policy,the characteristics are revealed.Explaining the background is helpful to better understand the communicative psychology and behavior of villagers in the process of square dance culture dissemination.In the specific research process,it made a detailed discussion from four aspects:space selection,dancer's self-presentation and interpersonal interaction,on-the-spot evaluation of other villagers and interactive communication of "Dancing Sisters" online WeChat group.In the process of the expansion of the square dance group,the choice of space has a certain connotation.As a cultural symbol in the collective memory of the countryside,the theatre has become a formal place for square dancing.As a new thing,the villagers show different performances in accepting the square dance.The dancers show different roles such as pioneers,early followers,late followers and laggards.Dancers also form different circles in the process of interaction.The struggle and compromise between the new and old generations of dancers appear in the process of resource acquisition.The popularity of new media in rural society has enabled the dancers to form a "dancing sister" WeChat group for online interactive communication.By investigating the interpersonal communication of square dance group,it concludes that the inner meaning of the choice of communication space lies in the cultural symbolic characteristics of the site under the collective memory of the countryside.In the interactive exchanges between the villagers,the topics are flexible and diverse,referring to a large amount of information.In the maintenance of rural relationship,kinship and geographic relationship still dominate,and the role of interest and industry relationship is gradually obvious.The development of square dance promotes the information circulation in rural society,maintains the rural human relations,train opinion leaders and integrates the rural folk power.Under the background of the breakdown of rural community and the decline of rural culture,it has positive significance.
