| The source text of this translation report is the South Korean writer Kim yeon-soo’s novel "The Five Pleasures Of The Walker".This novel pays close attention to the reality and focus on the pain and pleasures.The author is good at using symbolic undertones to create a new world which is far away from the realism.The main task of this translation practice is to reproduce the author’s style vividly.Under the guidance of Liu Fuqing’s stylistic translation theory,the translator analyzed the stylistic symbol system of the works from the aspects of formal markers and non-formal markers,and used three translation strategies which including corresponding,recasting and decolouring to reproduce the original styleThis translation report is divided into five chapters.Chapter one is a brief introduction of the author and source text Chapter two is a detailed introduction of Liu Fuqing’s stylistic translation theory.The translator analyzed the style of the source text from two aspects of formal and non-formal markers.Chapter four discussed the using of three translation strategies which including corresponding,recasting and decolouring combining with the specific cases.Chapter five is a summary of this translation practice. |
