An Investigation Of Huang Jigang's Concept Of Lian Mian Ci

In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this article takes the theory of HuangJigang's Lianmian-words as the research object from four aspects,including the concepts of word-formation,sound transition,lexical meaning and character pattern,which summarized his research achievements in various aspects.In the chapter on the concept of word-formation,this article first reviews the research on word-formation of Lianmian-words in the academic circle,and finds that it is entangled in the different signified of ancient and modern Lianmian-words and gets into trouble.But HuangJigang grasped the fact that consecutive-words are not connected by meaning,only linked by alliteration.With respect to its essence,Lianmian-words are actually derived from a word.In its syllabic structure,disyllables are more common than trisyllables.On the other hand,In terms of the syllabic structure,the reverse order is the same as the positive order.In the chapter on the concept of sound transition,this article starts from HuangJigang's research on phonology to explore the rules of Lianmian-words'rhyme transformation.He thinks that the change of initial and final is not isolated,but mutual influence,and this change is regular,can be proved,constitute a complete system.HuangJigang has profoundly expounded the law of the sound transference of Lianmian-words,which provides great reference value for the modern phonetic research of Lianmian-words.In the chapter on the concept of lexical meaning,this article investigates the different views on the meaning of Lianmian-words in ancient and modern times.It is found that due to different research methods and materials,there are differences in ancient and modern understanding.HuangJigang thinks that one Lianmian-words can express the whole meaning completely.Unlike him,WangNiansun thought that the two words that make up Lianmian-words express the same meaning and cannot have different meanings.In a way what they say is not a level thing,HuangJigang is fully aware of the unity of morpheme composition of simple words.In the chapter on the concept of character pattern,this article investigated the academic research and found that it pays more attention to the relation between form and meaning,the study of rhyme can be strengthened in the future.HuangJigang's research found that different glyphs are related to the same phonetic root,and this is the result of using different Chinese characters as symbols to remember sounds.HuangJigang noticed the decisive role of sound on Lianmian-words and constructed the idea that Lianmian-words have their original form but no fixed form.This study found that one of HuangJigang's research methods throughout the study of Lianmian-words,that is to use sound to study language.The whole context is constructed in the process of the close combination of form,sound and meaning.HuangJigang summarized the basic methods of Lianmian-words'research and expanded the scope of the research.Of course,there are some shortcomings in his research,such as the uncertainty of terminology and unclear concept.
