In the history of human communication,media has passed through six stages:oral age,word age,print age,electronic age,new media and convergence media time.Correspondingly,the spread of Peking Opera experienced these phrases,but not blindly following along with them.At this stage,the new media,represented by Internet and mobile platforms,rejuvenates and promotes the transmission and inheritance of Peking Opera.The works of Peking Opera breaks through the limitation of time as well as space,and creates interactivity by diversified and multidimensional approaches.That's all owing to the emerging media.This paper is divided into four parts: the introduction of the paper,the process of Peking Opera combining with media,the analysis of the state of the two and the future development paths of them.The first chapter is an exordium that explains the definition of the new media,states the situation of Peking Opera and introduces the research meaning of Peking Opera combing with new media.And also the study methods and data resources are given in this chapter.In the second chapter,the progress of Peking Opera combining with media is sorted and researched precisely to make the best use of their advantages and bypass their disadvantages for better communication of the current Peking Opera.The third chapter represents the features of the new media and analyzes the use of it in Peking Opera's content and form.Moreover,the tendency of abusing entertainment is coming up with value confusion and deviation in contemporary field of Peking Opera.The fourth chapter discusses how to improve the transmission of Peking Opera in the present world.And some relevant suggestions for the combination of the opera and the media are provided in this chapter.These proposals aim to evoke more desires of going to theatre and further cultivate the loyal audiences after watching Peking Opera.
