The text selected for this translation practice is taken from the memoir section of"Records and Extracts" by Mikhail Gasparov.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the style of memoirs,we believe that ensuring the authenticity and accuracy of the translation can be considered as a specification of the translation of the text of the memoirs."Fidelity" is the basic principle of translation and plays a key role in the translation process. We can say that "fidelity" goes through thousands of years of translation history as a main feature. The principle of fidelity includes two aspects, one of which is formal loyalty, and the other is equivalence in the sense. The main issue that needs to be discussed in this report is how to ensure compliance with the original text, taking into account formal loyalty and meaningful equivalence. At the lexical level, examples of lexical choices, pronouns, and translations of special names in the context of specific contexts are analyzed. In sentence translation, based on the principle of fidelity, examples of translation methods such as literal translation, augmented translation and reduced translation are analyzed. At the cultural level,we are using the footnote method of filling and culture-loaded words and famous scholars, writers explained. In this article,we use the memoirs of the sixth chapter from "Records and extracts"as a material, use the principle of fidelity of translation as a starting principle, and use the difficulties and problems that the author encounters during the translation as a starting point, generalize translation skills and methods in translation process.
