This paper is an e-c translation report on cultural-loaded words in Exploring Courtroom Discourse: The Language of Power and Control.This paper consists of three chapters.The first chapter introduces the source text from two aspects: its content and language,that is,to introduce the main content of the source text,and then analyze the language features of the source text from the perspectives of vocabulary and style.Based on the existing classification methods of culture-loaded words,the author refers to Susan Sachevich's classification method of legal words,classifies culture-loaded words in the process of translation,and points out the translation difficulties.The second chapter introduces the corresponding translation methods for different types of culture-loaded words.The third chapter focuses on the author's translation experience and points out the problems to be solved.The study of court discourse has important theoretical significance and application value,so more and more scholars begin to pay attention to the study of court discourse.Lexicon is the basic element of language.Therefore,cultural differences are prominent at the lexical level and involve the most extensive areas.The author will apply corresponding translation strategies to the cultural-loaded words in the translated texts,so as to provide some references for other translators.
