Prospective memory refers to the maintenance and execution of intentions such as activities and events to be completed at a specific time in the future.Prospective memory plays an important role in human daily life.If individuals lack prospective memory,it will have a significant impact on learning, work and life.Among them, the relationship between emotion and prospective memory is one of the hotspots in prospective memory research. The researchers have promoted the exploration of the mechanism of prospective memory through the study of the influence of subjective emotion and emotional materials on prospective memory task. However,in daily life, individual emotion is a process of active regulation and control. Therefore, the study of the dynamic control of emotion, that is,the effect of cognitive reassessment on prospective memory, can provide inspiration for understanding the mechanism of prospective memory processing from a completely new perspective. This study includes three experiments.Experiment 1 was a mixed design of 2(emotion valence: positive, negative)× 2(emotion regulation strategy: simply view, cognitive reappraisal),to explore the impact of cognitive reappraisal on event-based prospective memory. The results showed that emotion and emotion regulation strategies affect the accuracy of event-based prospective memory, the accuracy of positive pictures was higher than that of negative pictures, and the accuracy of simply view was higher than that of cognitive reappraisal.Experiment 2 was a mixed design of 2(emotion valence: positive, negative)× 2(emotion regulation strategy: simply view, cognitive reappraisal),to explore the impact of cognitive reappraisal on time-based prospective memory. The results showed that emotion and emotion regulation strategies affect the accuracy of timebased prospective memory, the accuracy of positive pictures was higher than that of negative pictures, and the accuracy of simply view was higher than that of cognitive reappraisal.Experiment 3 used ERP technology and single-factor design to analyze the time course of EEG signals during the process of prospective memory processing under the influence of different emotion regulation strategies, and explored the mechanism of prospective memory from the perspective of electrophysiology. The results showedthat emotion regulation strategies affect the accuracy of event-based prospective memory, and the accuracy of simply view was significantly higher than that of cognitive reappraisal.Based on the results of three experimental studies, the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)In event-based and time-based prospective memory, emotional valence had different effects on prospective memory performance.Compared with negative valence, positive valence had better prospective memory performance.(2)In event-based and time-based prospective memory, emotion regulation strategies had different effects on the performance of prospective memory.Compared with the simply-view group, the cognitive reappraisal group had a lower prospective memory performance.(3)N300 component and prospective positivity were induced in the process of prospective memory task.N300 component was related to the detection of prospective cues, and prospective positivity was related to the processing process after the extraction of prospective task plan. The above results support preparatory attentional processes and memory processes theory, and provide further evidence for exploring the mechanism of prospective memory.
