A Critical Study Of Organic Marxism

On the standpoint of postmodernism,organic Marxism takes ecological disaster and climate crisis as the starting point,and appears in the view of ecological theory with a "all not late" attitude to save human beings and nature.Combining Marx and Whitehead,The organic Marxists advocates a community values based on "organic holism",and criticizes the value system of modernity,mode of production,and political system of capitalist in all directions,and they call for the construction of a post-modern ecological civilization with the aim of human and natural co-prosperity and human welfare.As the latest school of ecological philosophy,the organic Marxism has provided a certain way of thinking in the criticism of ecological philosophy and the construction of the harmonious relationship between man and nature.But in essence,based on Whitehead's philosophy,organic Marxism is not the strict Marxism.The capitalist alternative option it constructs contains the binary opposition logic between the construction of ecological civilization and the development of modern society,and there is an ecological Utopian tendency.Therefore,organic Marxism does not apply to the construction of contemporary Chinese ecological civilization.The research and criticism of organic Marxism will promote our reflection on the unequal relations between humans and nature under“modernity”and the current state of capitalist exploitation of the environment and the poor.It help us to think about the development and transformation of civilization in the condition of the growing ecological crisis,and help us to realize the guiding role of practice-based materialist ecological view in the construction of ecological civilization in China.Firstly,this paper comprehensively combs the organic Marxist ecological thoughts,and analyzes its generations from background and theoretical sources.At the same time,in order to realize the organic Marxism ecology,according to its internal logic of criticism and construction,this paper organizes and summarizes the organic holism,ecological justice concept,community ideology and ecological practice measures in the system of organic Marxist ecological ideology.Secondly,in order to more accurately evaluate organic Marxism,this paper analyzes the characteristics of post-modernism of organic Marxism by comparing organic Marxism with ecological Marxism.Finally,on the basis of combing organic Marxism ecological thought system and ecological Marxism differentiation research,this paper puts forward the reflection and criticism of organic Marxism in order to form some reflections on the construction of ecological civilization.
