Since the 1990s,China's social economy has been in a state of rapid development. At the same time, the per capita disposable income, resident income, the urban-rural income gap, household consumption levels and education levels in China have all shown an upward trend. However,it appears a large number of juvenile crimes with the development of the economy and the progress of the city. The emergence of a large number of this phenomenon will have serious consequences for the society. At the same time, this phenomenon will affect the development of the society,if the society want to develop with long-term,harmonious and stable. In recent years,as interdisciplinary research has gradually become a research trend,we need to pay special attention to such special groups as juveniles. Therefore, nowadays, studying the issues about crime is not just a matter of law, more and more only related issues in the field of law that will study crime, more and more. Many sociologists, psychologists and economists begin to study the issues about crime. The concept of criminal economics was first proposed by Becker in 1968.Through these decades, with the development and exploration, the theories of criminal economics and the research methods about the crime have also matured. Therefore, this paper focuses on the issues related to the economic factors that affect juvenile delinquency,it has important theoretical and practical significance. This paper adopts a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis. It integrates several methods such as literature analysis and qualitative analysis. This paper analyzes the current status of juvenile delinquency in China and the economic development environment,at the same time,it also analyzes the problem that the influence of economic factors on juvenile delinquency. The main contents and conclusions of this paper are:(1)Based on a review of relevant domestic and foreign research status, firstly,we define the concept of minors and juvenile delinquency. And then,we use the hypothesis of economic man and cost benefit analysis in order to study the impact of economic factors on juvenile delinquency.Through the analysis,we get the conclude that:the growth of economic will increase the opportunity cost and increase the potential income,so the growth of economic will affect juvenile delinquency;resident income will affect juvenile delinquency by affecting the opportunity cost of crime;urban-rural income gap will affect juvenile delinquency by affecting the psychological balance of actors;resident consumption will affect juvenile delinquency by affecting the behavior of the actor;unemployment will affect juvenile delinquency by affecting costs and illegal gains;education will affect juvenile delinquency by affecting the cost of crime and related benefits;Urbanization will affect juvenile delinquency by affecting family economy.(2)This paper defines the specific definition of juvenile delinquency.According to the relevant regulations,it is considered that juvenile delinquency is a crime that a minor who has reached the age of 14 but is not 18 years old in China violates the law and should be punished. At the same time, this paper analyze the current situation and problems of the economic development in China,we find that there are many problems such as:income imbalance, uneven distribution and regional imbalances in development.(3)In this paper,we take the juvenile delinquency rate in our country as an explanatory variable,we select the per capita disposable income, the Theil index, the Engel coefficient, the urban registered unemployment rate, the junior high school student's enrollment rate and the urbanization rate as the explanatory variables. And then get the data on this basis. After logarithmic processing,we establish the error correction model and long-term equilibrium analysis. The results show that among the six independent variables selected in this paper, the effects of per capita disposable income, urban registered unemployment rate, junior high school entrance rate and urbanization rate on juvenile delinquency are significant, including per capita disposable income and urban Registered unemployment rate will promote the occurrence of juvenile delinquency, while junior high school students' enrollment rate and urbanization rate will suppress juvenile delinquency to a certain degree.By analysis,we find that the Taylor coefficient and Engel coefficient are not significant in the empirical test in this paper. It may be because the problem of index selection or it is caused by measurement errors. However, through theoretical analysis,we believe that these two economic factors are of practical significance and must not be ignored that it will have a certain impact on juvenile delinquency.(4)Based on the empirical results and analysis,we propose policy recommendations in order to promote the harmonious and stable development in China, these include:1.Adjusting the minimum wage standard and promoting the reform of the minimum wage system;2.Optimizing income distribution, narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas;3.Improving the employment environment and reducing the number of young and unemployed people;4.Popularizing the 12-year compulsory education to improve education;5.Smoothing the process of urbanization;6.Strengthening legal education for minors and raising crimes cost awareness;7.Strengthen the punishment of juvenile offenders. The innovations of this paper are:(1)From the perspective of research, the basic theory of criminal economics is used to study the impact of economic factors on juvenile delinquency, and to provide a basis for reducing juvenile delinquency and promoting social harmony and stable development. This is one innovation in this article.(2)In empirical studies, there are few articles or studies on economic factors affecting juvenile delinquency. This paper studies this issue from the combination of theory and demonstration.
