Research On Public Safety Management Of Large-scale Mass Activities In Cities

In the modem evolution history of Chinese cities,with the development of economy and society and the continuous improvement of people's spiritual needs,the large-scale mass activities are hold more and more frequently.Large scale activity can not only enrich people's entertainment and cultural life,but also is regarded as a business card to show the world urban culture,to enhance the image of the city.At the same time,it is conducive to the economic and social further development of the city.But due to the large population of our country,the large-scale mass activities are often accompanied by many hidden dangers.This paper takes Shanghai the Bund stampede for example,on the basis of the exposition of the definition of "large-scale mass activity safety" and "urban public security",combined with Murphy's Law and Event chain theory by describing the present situation of the urban public safety management to discuss the main problems and its root cause of public security management of large scale mass activities in cities.Meanwhile,by drawing lessons from the experience of public security management in developed countries,here it puts forward the countermeasures to improve China's public security management of large-scale mass activities.Thereby,it can provide feasible theoretical guidance and practical experience for the public security management of large-scale mass activities in China.
