Rousseau's discussion of freedom begins with the "natural state" of the pre-social state it constructed. In the natural state, people live freely and independently, with innate freedom and equality. As people become more connected and dependent, there is attachment and slavery between people.Civilization has somehow ended the freedom of man in the natural state, and people have lost their natural freedom and entered the state of society. In the social state, the situation of slavery has intensified. In the face of such a social situation in which people are enslaved and lose their freedom,Rousseau put forward his idea that people should sign a social contract to build a new "joint form" of the people. Is a new social structure in which freedom in the natural state is transformed into another form of freedom-social freedom, that is,each person transfers his or her individual rights to a sovereign in the people. The community uses "public will" to assert its own rights and ultimately achieve the freedom and equality that people pursue. On the basis of this freedom,he also proposed another kind of sublimated freedom-moral freedom, that is,people through moral self-discipline and guidance,so that people can consciously agree with the public,so that the society All staff can get the utmost freedom.Rousseau formed his own unique concept of freedom under the critical inheritance of Hobbes and Locke's liberal thoughts. He has a completely different view of the question of "who should be mastered by true freedom." He also tried to overcome the research methods and theoretical limitations of the two people about free thought.Compared with Montesquieu,Rousseau's advanced nature lies in his stand on the pursuit of social justice. He not only demands freedom within the law,but also requires the law to reflect public opinion and prevent the law from becoming a ruling class to deprive civil liberties.tool.The advantage of Rousseau's concept of freedom lies in his logical deduction method. He uses empirical research methods to verify his own views. The research method is avant-garde and creative. It not only exposes the essence ofsocial phenomena but also provides feasible suggestions for solving social problems. But the limitation is also that his public opinion theory is very vague about how public opinion is achieved. The dilemma of various theories in practice leads to the incomprehensibility of public opinion to some extent. The value of Rousseau's concept of freedom lies in how his free thought is devoted to how to deal with the relationship between individual freedom and social freedom. For the construction of a harmonious society in our country, how the people pursue their own comprehensive and free development, and how to ensure social stability.Every citizen has full rights and freedoms and has a very important learning and reference meaning, which deserves our deep exploration and study.
