In recent years,dense crowds often appear in urban public places due to the continuous advancement of modernization.The phenomenon of dense crowds results in frequent safety accidents,such as earthquakes,riots,fires.However,large-scale crowd evacuation is an important means of emergency response in disasters.Using crowd movement simulation to study crowd motion characteristics in emergencies can help designers to synthetically evaluate the evacuation passageway of buildings and public places.It can also assist in establishing evacuation schemes in emergencies and designing reasonable building layout,in order to reduce the occurrence of adverse events such as pedestrian stampede,congestion event.The measures ensure the safety evacuation of crowd.Therefore,using computer simulation technology to simulate crowd movement in real situation is of great significance.Emotion is a kind of psychological state with organization,timeliness and continuous change.Individual emotion has an important impact on the behavior response,which further affects individual's motion behavior.However,the existing crowd evacuation simulation researches often ignore the emotional differences among individuals,and they do not consider the influence of grouping and individual characteristics on emotional contagion.As a result,the process of crowd evacuation cannot be simulated realistically.In addition,these methods do not using psychology for emotion modeling,and neglect the influence of external stimulation on emotion.They can not truly reflect the process of individual emotional production and infection in emergencies,as well as the impact of emotion on individual movement.To solve the above problems,we first propose a heterogeneous emotional contagion model for crowd evacuation simulation,which takes into account the influences of grouping and individual characteristics differences on emotion.The method reflects the heterogeneity among individuals,and makes the simulation of crowd movement process more realistic.Furthermore,in order to reflect the evolution of emotion under external stimulation,we propose a crowd evacuation simulation method based on Arnold's emotion model.Individual emotion is triggered by external stimuli,and individual movement behavior under emergency events can be simulated realistically.Finally,a three-dimensional simulation platform based on psychological model of emotion is established.The main innovation of this paper are summarized as follows:1.Based on the social comparison theory,a heterogeneous emotional contagion model for crowd evacuation simulation is proposed.First,a computational method of heterogeneous emotional contagion model is put forward.We divide the crowd into groups according to the distance and the relationship between individuals,and study the influence of grouping on emotional contagion calculation.In addition,individuals are specialized by using the characteristics of personality,gender and age to compute the degree of emotional panic.Next,combined with RVO(Reciprocal Velocity Obstacles)method,the above method is applied to crowd motion computation.Finally,The realistic rendering platform is deployed to get crowd animation simulation.Results show that the method can better represent the heterogeneity of individual emotions and make the process of crowd movement more realistic.2.A crowd evacuation simulation method based on Arnold's emotion model is proposed.Firstly,a computational individual emotion model based on Arnold theory is constructed,and the generation and dissemination processes of emotion are analyzed.Secondly,the computed individual emotion is applied to the process of crowd movement.First,a behavioral decision-making model based on emotional factors is put forward to compute individual behavior types(get closer to the hazards,normal walking,or run far away from the hazards).Then,combined with individual emotion,the improved RVO model model is used to change the velocity of individuals.Finally,the above-mentioned methods are applied to 3D simulation platform to model the crowd evacuation more realistically.The experimental results show that the method can simulate emotion generation and contagion process under stimuli realistically,and model the individual movement behavior under the impact of emotion.3.Based on the above-mentioned methods,a three-dimensional motion simulation platform based on psychological model of emotion is constructed.The platform is based on Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 and XNA framework.It can simulate the process of crowd movement under heterogeneous emotion,and emotion changes and motor behaviors of individuals under sudden stimuli,respectively.The experimental results show that the platform can simulate the emotional differences among individuals more realistically.The reason is that the platform better simulates the process of individual emotional changes under sudden stimuli and the individual movement behavior under the influence of emotion.The simulation results agree well with the real world scenario.
