With the aging of the population,the aging problem is becoming more and more serious,the growth of the old people living alone and in the empty nest,the weakening of the family care function and the care of the old people are of great concern to the society.In a certain degree,the mode of residence determines the ability of the elderly to take care of the resources and explores the differences in the care needs of older persons in different ways of living in order to meet the increasing importance of the care needs of the elderly in the various family structures.It is of great significance to study the living mode of the old people in the city and the situation of the difference of the care demand,and to improve the care service system of the old people.This paper uses the Chinese Longitudinal Aging Social Survey in 2016.The paper analyzes the basic characteristics of the urban elderly,the demand of care and the way of living,the difference of the basic characteristics and the care needs of the old people in different residential ways,and the empirical analysis of the difference of the care demand of the elderly in different residential ways.The analysis shows that:(1)The urban residents live mainly in the couples,and the elderly in the elderly are close to 60%.The overall care needs of the elderly are large.(2)The elderly in single-country cities are characterized by high proportion of women,aging,high mourning rate,high proportion of children without children,low level of education,and low emotional support from family and friends,and 65.1% have medical care needs,nearly 70%.Have spiritual care needs.(3)The elderly in the couple's households are characterized by younger age,better economic situation and independence,and need to take care of the elderly.The care demand is lower than the average level of the elderly.(4)The proportion of elderly women in the same households with their children is high,the rate of widowhood is high,and the number of people with life care needs exceeds 10%.(5)There are significant differences in the care needs of the elderly in different living modes.The prominent characteristics of the elderly in different living modes have a significant impact on the demand for materials.Finally,it is recommended that when social,government,voluntary groups and families provide care resources for urban elderly people,they should address the need for care for the elderly in different living modes,optimize the allocation of care resources,and increase the utilization rate of care resources.Improve the urban elderly care service system;establish and improve the working mechanism of regular visits to elderly people in single-country cities;promote the integration of “Internet + home + community” care services;and strengthen policy support for family care.
