Hope is an important content in the research of positive psychology,which focuses on the positive aspects of human nature and life,and is widely used in psychological and physical health.In recent years,the Ministry of Justice of China has paid special attention to the education and reform work of prisoners in prisons,and paid great attention to the problem of prisoners' re-committing crimes.It hopes to play a crucial role as an important resource for education and reform of prisoners.Similarly,the social adaptation of the special group of prisoners is also concerned.The degree of their adaptation after returning to society is an important indicator for judging the re-crime of released prisoners.The study on the social adaptation of this group is of great significance for preventing re-crime.Interpersonal trust is established on the basis of interpersonal relationship,which is a form of interaction between people and a psychological state that can be influenced by attitude,expectation and other factors.The complex interpersonal relationship in prison has an obvious influence on prisoners.Interpersonal trust,hope and social adaptation can all have an important impact on the mental health of prisoners,under certain circumstances,the three can influence each other.In this study,508 male prisoners in a prison in Guangdong province were investigated through questionnaire survey on their traits of hope,social adaptation and status of interpersonal trust.And the hope is divided into three dimensions: the hope at the time of going out of prison,the hope before going out of prison and the hope after going out of prison.Social adaptation is divided into four dimensions: pre-social preparation,compliance with rules,interpersonal adaptation and work adaptation.To explore the mediating role of hope in interpersonal trust and social adaptation and the mediating role of re-crime.The results show that:(1)There is a significant negative correlation between interpersonal trust and hope of prisoners;There is a significant positive correlation between interpersonal trust and social adaptation of prisoners.Inmates hope that there is no significant correlation with social adjustment.(2)The hope dimension of prisoners plays a part in mediating the relationship between interpersonal trust and work adaptation dimension of social adjustment before they are released from prison;The hope dimension also plays a part in the relationship between interpersonal trust and social adaptation.(3)Re-offending plays a moderating role in the relationship between the hope of getting out of prison and the work adaptation.The practical implications of this research are also discussed.
