A Comparative Study Of Marx's And Habermas' Communication Theories

Since ancient times,human beings have been taking the way of communication and activities as the way of existence.This is especially true in modern society.With the development of the market economy,globalization and the advent of the information age,mankind has increasingly become a community of Shared future,and the universality of communication has become the world trend.However,at present,conflicts,regional disputes,ethnic discrimination and various kinds of sanctions exist in a large number,and problems brought about by exchanges have plagued human development.To overcome the alienation of communication,to seek the rationality of communication and to promote the harmonious coexistence among countries,regions and people is the universal goal of all countries in the world.Marx and Habermas were concerned about the problem of communication,anddid the philosophical reflection to the social function,the connotation of communication,alienation phenomenon,dynamic mechanism and other issues,but due to different times and different historical conditions,the problem of position and method is different also,Therefore,there are different views of communication,both of which have similarities and significant differences.This paper will make a comparative study of Marx's and Habermas' s communication theories,deepen the understanding of Marx's communication theories,draw lessons from the reasonable thoughts of western communication theories,and provide theoretical basis for better analysis and examination of the communication problems in the process of contemporary globalization practice.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper expounds from four parts.The first partexpounds the formation process and main thought of Marx's communication theory.According to the historical logic,with the support of historical materials and documents,this paper systematically combs the formation context of Marx's communication theory,and gives an overall explanation of Marx's communication theory.The second part discusses the main content of Habermas' scommunicative behavior theory.From the Habermas theory of communicative behavior formation background,philosophical basis,the basic content of three aspectsto explain.The third part compares the main contents of Marx's communication theory and Habermas' s communication theory.Itcarries on the comparative analysis,reveals their inner relation and the main divergencefrom the concept,the main body,the motive force,the realization goal.The fourth part is the comment and analysis of the communication theory between Marx and Habermas and the enlightenment in the practical social practice.Affirming the positive significance of Habermas' communication theory,and analyzing the defects of his theory.We should adhere to the basic standpoint and viewpoint of Marx's communication theory and constantly enrich and develop it.At the practical level,this paper mainly focuses on the problems of network communication,cultural conflicts and international disputes.
