On The Influence Of "Xin Min Cong Bao" On The Development Of Constitutional Thought In The Late Qing Dynasty

Xinmin Congbao was the most influential newspaper founded by Liang Qichao,which played a vital role in the development of constitutional thought in the late Qing Dynasty.After the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895,new knowledge groups emerged and the domestic newspaper industry developed rapidly.The inaugural issue of "Xinmin Congbao" provided an important position for publicizing Liang Qichao's constitutional ideas.The debate between "Xinmin Congbao" and "Minbao" on "constitutional monarchy" or "republican constitutionalism" has triggered Liang Qichao's deeper thinking on constitutional thoughts,and has also led to the development and improvement of constitutional thoughts through controversy and promoted Rising constitutional opinion."Xin Min Cong Bao" promoted the spread and popularization of Western learning in China,inspired the wisdom of the people,raised the national level,and was of great significance to the spread of constitutional thought in the late Qing Dynasty.
