| This article studies the relationship between the identity of the US and Russia as rivals in the Middle East and the competition between the US and Russia in the Middle East.By studying the two specific cases of the Syrian issue and the Turkish issue,this article draws the conclusion that the identity of the United States and Russia as rivals to each other in the Middle East has promoted fierce rivalry between the United States and Russia in the Middle East.On the Syrian issue,the United States considers Russia to be its rival on the Syrian issue,Russia considers the United States as its rival on the Syrian issue;the United States knows that Russia considers itself as a rival on the Syrian issue,and Russia also knows that the United States considers itself as a rival on the Syria issue,the recognition of the identity of the US and Russia as rivals on the Syria issue was formed.Driven by this recognition,the United States and Russia have launched fierce competition on issues such as the stay of the Assad regime and the crisis of chemical weapons.On the Turkish issue,the United States considers Russia to be its rival,Russia considers the United States as its rival;the United States knows that Russia considers itself as a rival on the Turkish issue,and Russia knows that the United States considers itself as a rival on the Turkish issue,the recognition of the identity of the US and Russia as rivals on the Syria issue was formed.Driven by this recognition,after the Arab Spring,the United States and Russia engaged in fierce rivalry on issues such as the Turkish Attempted Coup and the introduction of S-400 from Russia by Turkey. |
