Along with the basic education curriculum reform entering into the comprehensive deepening stage,the state attaches importance to the concrete character and ability to run through each discipline and merge into each discipline,and advocates the independent,cooperative and inquiry learning method and the enlightenment,discussion and participation teaching method.In geography teaching,teachers try to apply the teaching method and teaching mode in accord with the development of the times.Therefore,the author should try out the high quality question teaching method in senior high school geography teaching to carry on the related research.Quality question teaching method is put forward by American educational experts Dr.Jackie Akri Walsh and Beth Dankert Sartre on the basis of a great deal of research and practical experience,that is,to promote students' learning and thinking by asking questions.When teachers use this teaching method,they need to design good quality and high quality questions before class.The problems presented in class cause students to study and think,give them sufficient thinking time,and then adopt different questioning forms to create opportunities for each student to participate in the teaching,and give appropriate feedback to the answers of the students.Therefore,it is necessary to construct a student-centered and efficient classroom.This teaching method pays particular attention to the questions presented in the classroom and the way of asking questions in the classroom,which is the key to arouse students' interest,actively participate in thinking and discussion in the classroom,and develop their comprehensive ability.This thesis mainly discusses six parts,the first part is to analyze the research background and significance of quality question teaching method through understanding the present situation of domestic and international research;The second part is to elaborate the theory foundation of the quality question teaching method,carries on the theory analysis;The third part carries on the statistical analysis to the questionnaire survey data,provides the data support for the thesis;The fourth part is in the use of quality question teaching method,design the principle of question,and need to pay attention to the question,and combined with specific cases to discuss the design of quality questions before class,presenting questions in class,motivating students to answer,after-class reflection of the use of this teaching method;The fifth part carries on the teaching practice and the experiment research,carries on thepre-test and post-test to the student,uses the statistical tool to carry on the analysis to the experiment data,verifies this teaching method application can effectively improve the student achievement;The last part is the summary of this paper,including the lack of research and research prospects.
