The new round of basic education curriculum reform has already started.It has been continuously implemented and promoted throughout the country.The distinctive school-based curriculum has mushroomed and it has caught the eyes of experts and scholars.It has become a popular topic of curriculum research.After this,China's key competencies were shown publicly in September 2016.School-based curriculum has been a tool to highlight school characteristics.We should pay more attention to the cultivation of students' key competencies.Biology is a theoretical and practical discipline.It emphasizes on imparting theoretical knowledge to students while also continuously improving students' experimental skills.Despite the fact that the school-based curriculum and key competencies has attracted much attention,it's still a difficullt thing to implement key competencies in the school-based curriculum.Therefore,this study investigated the current situation of the development and implementation of biology school-based curriculum in Dalian,and attempted to propose suggestions for deficiencies.On this basis,the“Beautiful Nature” biology school-based curriculum was developed and implemented based on key competencies in this study,,looking forward to establishing a high school biology school-based curriculum system based on key competencies.This study took Dalian as an example.First,the literature analysis method was used to know the development and implementation of biology school-based curriculum in high schools.Then the questionnaire method,interview method and other research methods were used to investigate the development and implementation of biology school-based curriculum in high schools.According to the results of the survey,the advantages of biology school-based curriculum in high school were pointed out,and reasonable suggestions were provided for the deficiencies.Then,on the basis of the current investigation,the “Beautiful Nature” biology school-based curriculum was developmented and implemented in high school.Finally,it was necessary to analyse whether the course system of "Beautiful Nature" school-based curriculum was feasible and laid the foundations for further research in the future.Through the survey,it was found that the current biology school-based curriculum in high school in Dalian was regarded as a feature of schools and repaired the national curriculum.Butit still had the following problems: the school-based curriculum was illegible,development capacity were lacked,evaluation system was defective,and entrance exams were inevitable.In this regard,the following suggestions based on the key competencies were proposed in this study: to correct development attitude,to strengthen development guidance,to improve development evaluation,to expand development subjects and to excavate development resources.
