In "Ordinary Senior High School Chinese Curriculum Standards"(2003),it was explicitly proposed to open a series of "fiction and drama" elective courses. To this end,People's Education Press published "Appreciation of Chinese Novels," "Appreciation of Foreign Novels," and "Chinese and Foreign Dramas." There are four elective textbooks for appreciation of masterpieces and appreciation of film and television masterpieces, and Guangdong Education Press publishes three elective textbooks for “Appreciation of Short Stories”,“Appreciation of Drama” and “Appreciation of Film Literature”.This article has carried on the comparatively thorough and meticulous analysis to the series of textbooks of "fiction and drama" published by the People's Education Press and the Guangdong Education Press from four aspects: the model system, the guidance system, the knowledge system and the operating system. In the Fanwen system, both the PEP and the textbooks of the Guangdong Education Publishing Series focus on multi-angled excerpts and broaden the scope of the model as much as possible. This is an affirmative and useful reference. However, these two sets of elective textbooks have obvious deficiencies in the paraphrasing system. For example, they focus on a wide range of types, but they overlook the wide scope of the country, resulting in a situation of disregard for each other. From the point of view of the guiding system, the PEP “fiction and drama” series of elective textbooks uses a textual guidance system to guide the works from multiple perspectives and provide valuable guidance for students' multi-perspective appreciation of texts. The Cantonese version uses the graphic guidance system flexibly to draw students' interest in reading through illustrations. In the knowledge system,PEP “Fiction and Drama” series textbooks provide students with a more flexible way of introducing knowledge, which not only allows students to understand the content of the work more profoundly, but also increases the students' knowledge of literature and history accumulation, which can serve two purposes. In the setting of the operating system, the series of teaching materials of the People's Education Press “novel and drama” focuses on the training of students' reading ability while also focusing on the cultivation of students' literary creativity. The Cantonese version focuses on the training ofreading ability. The purpose of this analysis is to provide a valuable reference for the preparation of such textbooks in the future. The analysis of the model texts, guidance systems, knowledge systems, and operating systems of the series of textbooks for the novels and dramas of the People's Education Press and the Cantonese Education Press.According to the curriculum objectives put forward in the “Standards for Ordinary Senior High School Chinese Language Curriculum” and combining the advantages and disadvantages of the above two sets of textbooks, this paper puts forward four suggestions for the preparation of the same type of elective textbooks: First, the preparation of the model writing system should pay attention to the scope of the model. The breadth of the work and the excerpts of the works;secondly, the guiding and appreciation of the guidance system should guide the students to grasp the methods of appreciation of the works from multiple perspectives.Third, the presentation of knowledge in the knowledge system should adopt a flexible and diversified approach to facilitate students' understanding and understanding.Application; Finally,in addition to training the students' reading appreciation ability, the operating system should also pay attention to students' literary creation practice.
