An after-class practice system is one of the most important components in Chinese language teaching materials, and plays an important role in knowledge accumulation, skills training and quality formation of the students'. According to the requirements of the Elementary Educational Curriculum Reform, with the Chinese teaching materials from, Cantonese Education Press, to fulfill the research objective. After deep analysis and research, this thesis will point out the positive aspects innovation and disadvantages of its design and construction, and pose the specific suggestions for future design and construction.First, this thesis illustrates the historical process of development and its corresponding functions of Chinese language after-class practice system. Second, from the theories of the Performance Objective Design and Constructivism, demonstrate the theory framework of designing & compiling of Chinese language after-class practice system. The following part is the statistical analysis on the Chinese teaching materials from, Cantonese Education Press from the following four aspects: emphasis on the personal—understanding, outstanding the course goals from the sensibility attitudes and values, emphasis on the Chinese knowledge application and Chinese language ability training. In this part the author intends to find the scientific ways for the designing & compiling of Chinese language after-class practice system.
