The Application Of Horticultural Therapy In The Psychological Crisis Intervention Of The Elderly In Rehabilitation

This article aims to study the role of horticultural therapy in the rehabilitation process of mildly disabled and sick elderly people in order to explore the role of horticultural therapy in the rehabilitation of elderly people in social work interventions,thus raising the application of horticultural therapy and make a suggestion in social work practice to some extent.In the study of this paper,the research subjects mainly focused on mild to moderately paralyzed elderly people with stroke and other diseases.Group therapy was conducted with horticultural treatment as the main method.Professors and counseling clients were engaged in horticultural planting and appreciation activities.The contents of the activity focus on the recovery of team members' mental health,social skills and perception of life,and strive to integrate the members' body resources in the activities so that the clients can understand the meaning of life,improve their self-efficacy,and actively face life.In this study,experiments were carried out on various ways of realizing horticultural therapy.The conclusions of the study indicate that horticultural therapy has a positive effect on the physical and mental rehabilitation of elders.Different horticultural activities may have varying degrees of utility under certain populations and conditions,and a combination of horticultural treatments will have a positive effect on the different purposes of different groups of people under long-term use.
