Along with the increasing proportion of elderly people,Alzheimer's disease,as a kind of common mental illness,Patient population continues to increase.Dementia elderly medical needs,care needs,and gradually expand,become one of the issues of social concern.In addition to the traditional medical treatment for dementia,more and more attention to the auxiliary medical therapy,Horticultural Therapy has been the focus of attention.A lot of people want to know and try Horticultural Therapy,the excavation of the Horticultural Therapy with five senses stimulation,make full use of the close relationship between human and nature,and Interaction between human and plant to obtain healing benefits.This research will horticultural therapy intervention to mild dementia elderly,researching on the intervention benefits of Horticultural Therapy.Eight mild and moderate dementia elderly have participated in eight horticultural therapy activities,looking forward to horticultural therapy activities had positive benefits for the elderly with mild and moderate dementia,and explore the factors that produce positive benefits.This research focused on the use of "Hasegawa Dementia Scale","Improvement of Horticultural Therapy Assessment Scale","Case Record Form","Group Activities Record Form" as a tool,comparison of elderly patients with dementia to participate in activities before and after the test,Analysis showed that the Horticultural Therapy Activities for mild dementia elderly in action,physiological perception ability,cognitive ability and social interaction ability had have significant benefits,Horticultural Therapy Activities have had positive effects on elderly patients with dementia.The design scheme was also consistent with the treatment of the elderly to meet the needs and expectations of elderly patients with dementia activity design principles.
