For a long time,the view that the history of science is integrated into the teaching of science has not been interrupted in the field of Science Education.The history of science has great educational value,and it can provide students with scientific nutrition in all aspects,and it is of great significance to the cultivation of students' scientific literacy.However,at present,the study of the number of the history of science in primary schools is not much,and the study of textbooks is less.This study is based on literature in the history of science education,combined with the understanding of the history of science education scholars across the primary school stage,referring to"A checklist for the analysis of the history of science in science textbooks" of Leite,combined with the characteristics of Taiwan and mainland science textbooks,sorting out the five categories for this study:the field,type,presentation,status and bibliography of the history of science.This study analyses the content of the history of Science in the primary science textbooks of the continentalJiangsu version and the Taiwan Kang Xuan edition.Through analysis and comparison,we draw the conclusion that,in the field of the history of science,the contents of Jiangsu edition's science history are extensive and wide,and the Taiwan Kang Xuan edition is few and refined,and the two versions show the uneven distribution of grade and the weakness in the field of engineering and technology.As for the content types of the history of science,the Jiangsu edition pays more attention to the course of scientific development,and Taiwan Kang Xuan edition is more fond of "telling stories".In terms of the way of presenting the contents of science history,the Jiangsu version attached importance to the reality,Taiwan Kang Xuan version attached importance to interest,and the style of Jiangsu edition is more traditional,and the Taiwan Kang Xuan edition is more flexible.In the status level of the history of science,the two versions all show disadvantaged.With reference to the bibliography of the history of science,the Jiangsu version can learn from Kang Xuan edition and provide useful information for students' reference and reading.According to the comparison results of the two versions and the characteristics and highlights of Kangxuan version of primary school science textbooks,the compilation of primary school science textbooks of Jiangsu edition can be improved from the following points.First,the history of science should keep pace with the times.Second,the selection of scientific history should pay attention to the achievements of ancient Chinese science and civilization.The three is to integrate humanities and artistic elements in the history of science.Fourth,the selection and presentation of the history of science should start from the perspective of children.Fifth,create a theme based scientific history.The last one is to add the link of references of the history of science.It is expected that the education of the history of science in primary school has new ideas and growth.
