With the rapid development of natural science,great changes have taken place in the biological science,which include endless major breakthroughs and world--renowned achievements.At the same time,the original learning styles are transformed into the new that encourage students to take initiative to participate in the class room under the curriculum reform background.However,learning motivation,an motivation which can stimulate and maintain learning behaviour,has a significant impact on the learning efficiency.Therefore,it is necessary for teachers to enhance learning efficiency of students by motivating and maintaining motivation of students.Biology is a practice course,and middle school students are active,so it is easy to motivate and maintain their motivation in biology class.At present,there are many related studies which focus on the learning motivation in biology,but most just analyze the present situations and corresponding strategies.However,there are not so much former studies relating to teaching cases and practice.This research attempts to provide theoretical reference for the cultivation of learning motivation of student,and provide inspiration for teaching practice of teachers,and promote the all--round development of students.This research adopts several methods,including literature method,survey methods,statistical analysis,method of case study,classroom observation.First of all,research background,related studies and researches both home and abroad are presented.Then,the following sections presents the purpose and significance of this thesis and the methodology of this thesis.Then,the author has an overview,the first part is about two concepts,motivation and learning motivation.The next part is about the classifications,functions,element,theoretical basis of learning motivation.Based on the research background,related studies and researches both home and abroad,learning and researching the related theories deeply,the author makes ?questionnaire with learning motivation of students in middle school for biology class?and conductes to a questionnaire survey for students,designs interview outline for teachers and interviews teachers.Then,by arranging and analyzing the data of the survey and results of the interview,the existing problems are found.For instance,learning motivation of students are not motivated efficiently,and their self-improvement drive should be strengthen,and students can not clearly evaluate and predict their own ability to study;and their capability of attribution should be raised accordingly.Based on the problems above,the author puts forward the following targeted strategies:Stimulating intensive interest of students to improve their cognitive drive;experiencing the joy of success to increase the self-improvement drive;Praising and rewarding them to enhance their affiliative drive;providing them alternative experience to strengthened their self-efficacy;instructing correct attribution of students to increase the chance of success;building multi-contextual biological class.The author designs four different kinds of biology teaching cases and puts them into the practice to test their effects.At last,main findings and creative ideas are given.Besides,there are still some limitations in the present research.
