The PBL teaching method is a problem-based learning method that improves the disadvantages of traditional teaching methods.This kind of student-centered teaching method has greatly improved students' interest in learning.At present,PBL teaching method is mainly applied to many medical subjects and the effect is obvious,but there is almost no application research in the cheerleading teaching.Therefore,combined with the reform and practice of the public cheerleading elective course at Shaanxi Normal University,this paper makes an empirical study on the application of PBL teaching method to the public cheerleading elective course.It aims to innovate the cheerleading teaching methods,so that the public cheerleading teaching develops in a more scientific direction.This paper mainly uses the literature data method,the questionnaire survey method,the teaching experiment method,the mathematical statistics method and other methods,the theoretical basis and the realistic conditions of the PBL teaching method in the college Cheerleading elective course,the PBL teaching process design,and the PBL teaching effect were analyzed.Through one semester of teaching experiments,the findings and conclusions are as follows:(1)In terms of interest in learning,a paired sample T-test found that there was no significant difference in learning interest between the control class and the students before and after the experiment(P>0.05),and there was a significant difference in learning interest between the experimental class and the experimental class(P<0.05).The PBL pedagogy was applied in the teaching of cheerleading.It obviously stimulated the students' interest in cheerleading and effectively improved their love of cheerleading.(2)In terms of self-confidence:After a paired sample T-test,there was no significant difference in self-confidence between the students before and after the control class experiment(P>0.05),and there was a significant difference in self-confidence between students before and after the experimental class experiment(P<0.05).The classroom atmosphere of the experimental class is from repression to activeness,and actions are taken from the bow to looking up at the mirror.From the psychology of "fighting off the field" and "fear" to the smiling face,the self-confidence is getting higher and higher.(3)After the PBL teaching method was adopted for the classroom teaching of cheerleaders,the students were obviously superior to the traditional teaching methods in communication and cooperation skills.In the teaching process,the students communicated from zero to the group,and the ability of teamwork and cooperation was obviously strengthened.(4)PBL teaching method can improve students' ability to find problems,analyze problems and solve problems better than traditional spoon-feeding teaching methods.After PBL teaching,students practice cheerleading awareness enhancement,can proactively identify problems,and through continuous practice and practice,to find the best way to solve the problem and improve individual cheering skills.(5)Through the survey,the satisfaction of the students in the experimental class was 41.67%,and the satisfaction of the students in the control class was 25%.After the PBL pedagogy was applied to the public cheerleading electives,the students'satisfaction with the classroom was higher than the traditional teaching methods.Students changed from passive learning in traditional teaching to active learning,which greatly improved students' speed of mastering cheerleading moves and their enthusiasm for learning has also been significantly improved.(6)After the experiment,the proportion of students in the experimental class at the end of the assessment was excellent,good,passing,and failing:37.5%,45.83%,16.67%,0%,respectively,and the proportion of students in the control class was 25%.,37.5%,29.17%,8.33%.The PBL teaching method is applied to the public cheerleading elective course teaching.The improvement of the students' cheerleading technique movement is better than the traditional teaching method.After the PBL teaching,students' ability to create and comprehend movements,understanding of music,proficiency and standardization of movement,ability of comprehensive expression,and coordination of movement and music have reached a new level.At the same time,it promoted the development of the Cheerleading program in the elective courses of the public,and enabled more people to join the sports program.
