The Social Trust Of Chinese Urban Residents Affects Their Happiness

The Pattern of Difference Sequence exists not only in interpersonal trust,but also in the happiness circle.Through interpersonal trust structure and happiness circle structure,the author deduced that there might be a connection between trust and happiness.Basing on CGSS2012 data,using the multivariate linear regression model,the author from four dimensions of trust: the relatives of trust,the acquaintances of trust,the strangers of trust,the government of trust to study the relation of the Chinese urban residents' social trust and happiness.The study found that the higher the relatives of trust,the higher the happiness.The higher the acquaintances of trust,the higher the happiness.The higher the strangers of trust,the higher the happiness.The higher the government of trust,the higher the happiness.That is,social trust is positively correlated with happiness.There are three ways in which social trust can affect happiness: trust,as a kind of “tranquilizer”,makes people happy by alleviating anxiety.Trust,as a kind of “propellant”,makes people happy by promoting cooperation.Trust,as a kind of “glue”,makes people happy by enhancing communication.
