In recent years,new technology has been developing rapidly.All human beings are enjoying the life of information age brought by new technology.The vocabulary of "technical literacy" is gradually known to the public.Through consulting the relevant literature,we know that the research on technical literacy has been paid more attention.Most scholars are devoted to the study of the connotation and structure of technical literacy,and some scholars have investigated the status of public technical literacy.However,few people pay attention to the status of technical literacy of junior high school students in China.Therefore,the author of Nanjing Xuanwu District junior high school students as the research object,launched a survey of junior high school students' technical literacy status.For junior high school students,there are many ways to improve their technical literacy,for example,in a variety of subjects,such as physics,chemistry,biology,information technology,and other courses,to improve their technical literacy.In addition,the technical literacy of junior high school students is also related to other aspects.When the author combed the literature,the author found that the factors affecting the technical literacy of the other groups except junior high school students were gender,parents' occupation and so on,in order to make a more comprehensive investigation of the technical literacy of junior high school students.The author will investigate the factors of junior high school students' life,study and family,so as to determine what factors affect junior high school students' technical literacy.In view of the above situation,this study focuses on the following questions:(1)which dimensions can be divided into technical literacy?(2)what are the evaluation methods of technical literacy?(3)what are the factors that affect junior high school students' technical literacy?To what extent do these factors affect junior high school students' technical literacy?(4)what educational suggestions can be made for junior high school students' technical literacy and training of students' technical literacy?In this study,through reading and analyzing a large number of technical literacy and other related research literature,the author divides technical literacy into four dimensions,namely,technical knowledge and cognition,technology application ability,technical thinking mode and technical emotional attitude,and defines it,so as to choose suitable technical literacy for junior high school students.The research methods of current situation investigation,namely,questionnaire survey method and observation method,have been compiled for research tools,and the design of research tools includes the compilation of questionnaires and the compilation of the observation and evaluation scale.Through the questionnaire survey and extracurricular activity observation of the students of W middle school in Nanjing and Y middle school in the first two years of the first two years,and then to analyze the data collected,the author makes an overall analysis on each sub dimension under the four dimensions of technical literacy,and finds that the technical knowledge and cognitive level of junior high school students are generally in the middle.At the top level,there is a high level of knowledge about the application level of technology to life and the level of the history of understanding technology,while the understanding ability of junior high school students' general terms of technology is only at the level of passing,and the junior high school students'technical application ability score is high,which indicates that the overall level of technical application ability of junior high school students is good.The simple principle of the technology and the use of the technical dimension will be higher than the other two dimensions,indicating that the ability of junior high school students to use technology is better than the ability to use technology to solve problems in life.A supplementary questionnaire is taken to measure the technical thinking mode of junior high school students.The two parts of the questionnaire show that the overall level of the technical thinking mode of junior high school students is at the middle level;the technical events around junior high school students are more active and positive,which shows that the ability of the junior middle school students to observe the external events is superior to the internal logical thinking.At the same time,the junior middle school students scored more than 1.5 points in the two level dimensions,indicating that the overall level of the technical thinking mode of junior high school students was in the middle level.According to the five factors such as gender,grade,school,parents' different occupations and junior middle school students' participation in different interest courses,the author finds that different sex and parents' occupation have little influence on the technical literacy of junior high school students in Nanjing,and participate in different interest courses,different grades and different schools.There are significant differences in the dimensions of technical literacy of junior middle school students.Through the analysis of the results of the questionnaire and the analysis of the results,the author puts forward some suggestions on the training of the technical literacy of junior high school students:adding the "technical place" in life,improving the technical literacy of the teachers,and paying attention to the differences of the students,in order to contribute to the technical accomplishment education of our country.
