With the development of information technology,multimedia resources have become a hot topic in education.Documentary film is a multimedia resource with a rich connotation that can provide students with multiple sensory stimuli consisting of images,language,text,and background music.Obtaining documentary film and using information technology to process can make it into informationized curriculum resource for biology subject.Previous studies have accumulated a lot of experience,but the problem is that most studies only developed documentary film into curriculum resource for one class and researchers paid more attention to its function of imparting knowledge and breaking teaching difficulties but ignored humanistic emotional expression in documentary films.Therefore,the main purpose of this paper is to use develop curriculum resources that are applicable to a range of teaching topics by using documentary films and explore the value of documentary film resources in terms of emotional attitudes and values.To demonstrate the necessity of developing documentary films into junior high school biology curriculum resources by using literature research method.By using empirical research methods,this paper analyzes the content,narrative style,and social significance of documentary film and the feasibility of developing documentary film into curriculum resources.To know the status of school's multimedia equipment and the information technology capability of junior high school biology teachers through questionnaires.By using questionnaire method,the paper also looks into the current status of the application of documentary films in junior high school biology teaching and the reasons for the existence of the status in this part.Take junior high school textbook of Jiangsu Education as an example to make a general summary of the teaching topics that need to be developed by using documentary films.According to the principle of documentary film selection,the documentary film materials are collected from the teaching content and the collected documentary films are finally processed to form the curriculum resources that are suitable for junior high school biology teaching.the method of case study is used to explain how to apply the developed curriculum resources to classroom practice from the perspectives of knowledge curriculum resources and emotional curriculum resources.The paper uses the method of questionnaire among students to know the learning effects of the curriculum resources developed by using documentary films for classroom teaching.According to the above comparative study of this paper,we can see that documentary film can be used as a curriculum resource to apply to classroom teaching,which can stimulate students' interest in learning and mobilize the students'enthusiasm for learning.In addition,it can also help students understand the content of learning and deepen the memory as well as broaden their horizons and produce emotional and spiritual feelings for students.
