Under the guidance of the educational informatization background and the new curriculum concept, teachers should pay attention to the effective application of information technology to teaching and actively develop and utilize educational resources to achieve the diversification of teaching forms and the optimization of the teaching process. In view of the characteristics of biology courses, the application of documentaries in biology teaching is universally loved by teachers and students,so they are very worthy of development and utilization of multimedia teaching resources. This article mainly uses literature analysis, case analysis and questionnaire surveys, and under the guidance of cognitive structure learning and other related theories, taking high school biology optional compulsory 2 "Organisms and Environment"(published by People's Education Edition in 2019)as an example to explore the construction and application of high school biological documentary resource library based on knowledge maps. The main purpose of the research is to build a documentary resource library that uses knowledge maps as the carrying tool and fits main knowledge points of the teaching material chapter, and to make preliminary explorations of its application in high school biology teaching.Using literature research methods, analyze the current research status of documentary resources, and analyze the necessity and feasibility of developing documentaries into high school biology teaching resources. In the process of building the resource bank, first of all,the teaching material of the high school biology optional compulsory 2 "Organisms and Environment"(published by People's Education Edition in 2019)sorts out the knowledge points according to each chapter and constructs a knowledge map.Secondly, search documentaries with knowledge points as keywords, watch documentaries, select segments suitable for teaching, record segments, cut and edit selected documentary segments. Then, combine the edited documentary resources with the knowledge map to build a documentary resource library.Through case studies and survey research methods used to explore the documentary policy is applied biology teaching in high school, and instructional design and analysis applications based on policy. The documentary application is divided into three parts: before class, during class, and after class. The three parts play different roles in teaching.Among them, the main part is in class, involving introduction, new class teaching and class summary. In this paper, the documentary resource library,at present, contains 55 documentaries and 135 documentary teaching resource fragments of fit the teaching material chapter knowledge points. It can be updated and improved according to teaching needs in the future. This research shows that the use of knowledge maps as an organization and management tool makes the documentary resource library more intuitive, systematic and convenient. It can quickly realize the retrieval and acquisition of documentary resources, which is convenient for updating and supplementing.Documentary teaching applied to high school biology teaching must conform to the cognitive characteristics of students,be able to better serve the teaching goals, and improve the teaching efficiency of biology class. The active learning method characterized by inquiry is interspersed with different learning links, which can realize the close connection between the knowledge learned and the actual life. This learning method is more conducive to cultivating students' core literacy and lifelong learning ability.
