In recent years, domestic attention has been paid to risk education, but there is little investigation on students' cognition level of chemical risk. There are many qualitative researches on the risk cognition characteristics, structure and influencing factors of students, but few quantitative researches. On the basis of reviewing and summarizing the research results of scientific risk cognition at home and abroad, this paper has developed a senior high school student chemical risk cognition scale by using the classic measurement mode of risk perception-psychometric paradigm.Taking 518 students from a 4 star high school in Changzhou,Jiangsu Province as an example,we investigated the cognition level and characteristics of high school students' chemical risk, and constructed risk cognition structure. Then, through self-made questionnaire and semi structured interview,40 students in a high school in Nanjing,Jiangsu Province, was investigated, and 3 main factors affecting the degree of cognition of high school students' chemical risk were obtained. Then we put forward the teaching suggestions and measures of risk perception that applied in chemistry education and teaching. The main conclusions are as follows:)On the basis of the construction of the theory of chemical risk perception,we proposed that the cognitive characteristics of high school students' chemical risk include 6 dimensions:knowledge, general fear, rapidity, acceptability, result seriousness and controllability. We completed the compilation of the scale "high school students chemistry risk perception".To test its reliability and validity, the questionnaire has good homogeneity reliability, and it has reached the requirement of psychometrics, and the validity of the scale is proved by factor analysis. We analyzed 6 dimensions of risk cognition characteristics of chemical activity, and got two principal components, two main dimensions of chemical risk cognition.Among them, knowledge, controllability and acceptability are classified as "known" dimensions, and the general fear, rapidity and result seriousness are classified as "fear" dimension. The spatial position map of the rotation factor load map, which is composed of two basic dimensions,is obtained from 13 chemical activity risk cognition.(2)As the cognitive degree of manifestation of 13 chemical activities of selected high school students:"discarded used batteries","emission of fluorine alkyl chloride, phosphorus containing waste water emissions of these three chemical activity of the highest risk;second is the emission of nitrogen and sulfur oxides, wood industry textile industry in the use of formaldehyde","mining the use of fossil fuels, discarded waste plastics","the use of food additives, the use of chlorine disinfection, the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides" and "antibiotics";"the use of aluminum beverage cans","high school chemistry experiment of the two chemical activity of the lowest level of risk perception.(3)The three main factors that influence high school students' cognition of chemical risk are personal experience, mastery of knowledge and skill,as well as media communication.
