In today's society,information is abundant.Compared with long text descriptions,people prefer to read pictures to get information,and pictures have become the main form of information transmission.Under the background of an era of reading pictures,picture books,as a novel and flexible way of reading,enter people's field of vision,and quickly set off a craze.Middle school students have the ability to visualize thinking,and the chemistry learning content has certain abstractness.Can the picture book be used in the junior middle school chemistry teaching?How can it be used?It is the research topic of this thesis.The author has done the following research work:Firstly,the present situation of the research on picture books,scientific picture books and picture books is sorted out.Using the dual coding theory,the theory of multiple intelligences and the psychological development law of junior high school students,this paper introduces the theory to support junior middle school chemistry teaching.On the basis of the analysis of the elementary chemistry textbooks,the third unit of the ninth grade chemistry book,the material composition,is selected as the scope of the use of the picture book.The practical scheme of applying picture book to carry out teaching is designed and the teaching practice is carried out.The author designs the chemical picture book,combines with the teaching to carry out a series of application,fumble and tries to draw the three kinds of methods which use in junior middle school chemistry teaching,namely all the class teaching based on chemical picture books,episodic small picture books of chemistry teaching and students' creation chemical picture books.After the teaching practice,interview with teachers and students,use the grounded theory to precipitate its point of view,analyze students' picture books and unit test scores,draw relevant conclusions.Research suggests:Picture books for junior high school chemistry teaching can motivate junior high school students to learn chemistry,develop students' critical thinking,promote the construction of knowledge.In the use of picture books,we can adopt the whole class teaching based on picture book,use the small picture book teaching and the students' independent creation of picture books,etc.But teachers and students are more likely to use fragmented,small-picture chemistry.The design and production of picture books is the premise of teaching application,and it needs further development and research.The introduction of picture books into junior middle school chemistry teaching has been welcomed by teachers and students,and it is a teaching method worth trying.
