The research on preschool teachers' social understanding of children is scarce,and most of the research is focused on the social development of children.However,the preschool teachers have an unoptimistic situation in understanding the social development of children.The purpose of this paper is to draw a deep picture of a preschool teacher's understanding of children's social events and the confusion they faced,so as to further reveal the reasons for teachers' understanding and the underlying problems.The theory of social psychology is used to reveal the truth of teachers' understanding of the social predicament of children.This study is based on qualitative interview and observation,and a large number of cases and interview materials related to the sociality of the children in one day were collected.The result shows that:Teachers can persist in the principle of positive education and respect the nature of children in understanding and dealing with social events when they enter the place of education with correct ideas,such as "the concept of regular education" and "view of conflict".But the effect of education does not reach the expected effect.There are still many teaching problems.Research found that teachers can not relate children's behaviors to the corresponding sociality well when they try to understand children's social events.Social expectations for children are always on the level of children's social development.And the rules of the teacher's expectation are not clearly pointed out in the class.In addition,it is found that teachers' ideas about children's sociality are not matched well in practice after sorting out the confusion of teachers in daily teaching.The theory of social psychology is used to reflect the teacher's understanding of the present situation of children's sociality,and reveals that the teacher is not a perfect person.In understanding the social nature of children,teachers inevitably have cognitive bias,and influenced by various factors such as emotions,expectations,stereotypes and so on.Based on this,teachers need to maintain a reflective attitude in daily teaching,the training of teachers in the garden must be pertinent,and the presentation of national related documents requires a large number of examples to help teachers overcome the lack of social awareness of children.
