With the rapid development of basic education in China,the number of teachers in basic education has also rapidly expanded.Physical education teachers have become an indispensable backbone in the development of physical education in schools.Physical education teachers in secondary education are an important group.The quality of the state directly affects all aspects of school education,physical education,and school management.However,we not only lack an objective and comprehensive understanding of the work status of middle school PE teachers but also lack due attention and humane care.This article takes the middle school PE teacher in Nanjing as the survey object,and takes its work status as the research object.Through reviewing and sorting out related documents,the sports teacher's work status is redefined and the research framework is determined.Based on the Schaarschmidt's AVEM(Working Status)Scale,a preliminary questionnaire for the investigation of the working conditions of middle school PE teachers in Nanjing was developed first,from the three dimensions of career commitment,resistance to pressure and subjective well-being.Analyze and understand the general situation of middle school PE teachers' working status.Secondly,the initial survey questionnaires were distributed.Through the analysis of the project,reliability,and validity,a formal survey questionnaire on the working status of middle school PE teachers in Nanjing with a reasonable structure and good reliability and validity was developed.Finally,the researchers used the questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics method,and interview method to obtain research results through surveys of some middle school PE teachers in Nanjing.Through the research,the main conclusions are as follows:(1)The survey results show that the average working condition of middle school PE teachers in Nanjing City is 3.73 higher than the median of 3.The overall situation is in the middle and upper level,and its work status is good overall;(2)The gender status of middle school PE teachers in Nanjing differs in all three measurement dimensions.The specific performance is that women's scores are significantly higher than those of men;(3)The working status of middle school PE teachers in different marital status in Nanjing is measured in each case.There is no significant difference in dimensions;(4)The working status of middle school PE teachers of different ages and years of teaching is different in all dimensions.With the gradual increase in the age of physical education teachers and the length of teaching,the score of their career commitments will be reduced;their resistance to pressure will increase with age;novice sports teachers in the 20-25 age group will score high on their subjective well-being,11-The 15-year-old PE teachers scored the lowest;(5)The Nanjing middle school PE teachers who chose to work at different levels did not differ in their work status in each measurement dimension;(6)Public or privately-run Nanjing middle school PE There is no difference in the working status of teachers in a measured dimension.Based on the research conclusions,this study proposes some suggestions from the perspectives of improving the professional development of PE teachers,correct understanding of themselves,learning to control pressures,and school management.Therefore,we can broaden our perspective and perspective on the issues of PE teachers and improve and improve PE teachers in middle schools.Talent management.The results of this study represent the status of the work of physical education teachers in areas with relatively basic education,and thus get the attention of teachers and schools.The questionnaires and research results formulated provide reference for the research on the status of physical education teachers in other regions.
