Results of student physical fitness tests in recent years shows that students'physical quality is declining year by year,which aroused general concerns over students' physical conditions.Under this context,for the sake of achieving the goal of students' all around development in moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetics and labor quality and implementing the "National Student Physical Health Standard",incorporating physical tests into the high school entrance examination is being increasingly adopted as a point-cut of education reform to encourage students to form the habits of exercising,so that their physical quality can be improved.However,in the reform process,achievement differences of high-school entrance examination arose,and development issues emerged.In this paper,physical fitness tests results of 6 middle schools in Haidian District were examined through varied methods including literature review,face-to-face interview and case studies.In particular,comparative analysis was carried out,exploring performance of strength,stamina and responding speed in physical tests results of different schools and difference of physical test results of varied school types.In addition,case study targeting Shida Middle School was also conducted from the perspective of physical education,in order to identify pedagogical factors contributing to excellent high-school admission examination performance,so that teaching strategies can be worked out to improve physical test results,bringing positive effects to PE teachers'teaching practice,students'achievements in physical tests and their physical quality.
