The method of situational teaching has been put into effect for nearly 40 years in China.Now,with the promotion of the new curriculum reform,it is still energetic and filled with vigour because of the features,which is lively,emotional,artistic and full of educational ideology.On the one hand,the situational teaching method accords with the new demand of the new curriculum reform.On the other hand,the situational teaching method plays an active role in the implementation of the new curriculum reform.The method of situational learning has made good grades in Chinese-reading courses in elementary schools,but it is discovered that there are some problems in practical application which need to be solved,such as the abuse of media,the ignorance of students' reality,the form-monotony of the situation-creating and formalism in our teaching practice.It is caused by the responsibility of teachers themselves,the unreasonable resource configuration of schools and a lack of specialized training for teachers.By the analysis of the problems and its reasons,the author puts forward three principles in this essay that should be followed in the application of situational teaching method : the consolidation of industrialism and humanism,the consolidation of externalism interest and content authenticity,the consolidation of life and imagination.Grasping the implementation principle is the premise of practicing the situational teaching method.And based on these three principles,we also put forward some strategies for teachers and schools to apply in daily teaching practice.Teachers should focus on students and text.What's more,they also need to create more lively situations by using the multimedia.As for schools,they need to apply more teaching resources and more teaching method training about theory and practice for teachers to support their class.
