Comrade Xi Jinping pointed out in the reports of the 19 th CPC National Congress that the principal contradiction in China's society has been translated into the contradiction between the people's growing needs for a better life and underdevelopment.Instead of pursuing material abundance merely,we should balance various personal needs. The reasons why this paper focus on burnout due to overwork are: on the one hand the phenomenon is prevalent among occupational groups,on the other hand it's questionable to pursue material at the cost of life and equate burnout due to overwork with high income and success. This paper, from the perspective of health capital, aims to explore the relationship between burnout due to overwork and personal income on the basis of human capital theory and health demand theory of Grossman. The conclusions of theoretical analysis are as follows: In cross-section analysis, burnout due to overwork only has a negative impact on personal income, and income decrease will become faster and faster; From the perspective of whole life, burnout due to overwork leads people to quite the labour market early and lose the deserved income during their life.Hereby, this paper chooses IT technicians who generally suffer from burnout due to overwork as the research object, and has collected 381 available samples which are used for confirming the theoretical inference. The empirical research is based on the model of Minsel income model, and the multiple linear regression is verified by spss23.0 according to the research need. The result shows that,as the theoretical inference,in IT technician group burnout due to overwork only has a negative impact on personal income, and income decrease will become faster and faster. Then, the paper performs group regression according to the group characteristics of IT technicians. The concludes are as follows: Comparing with female IT technicians, the income of male IT technicians is more vulnerable to burnout due to overwork; The income of other age groups is more likely to suffer from burnout due to overwork than IT technicians who are 26 to 30 years old;The income of less-educated Group is more likely to suffer from burnout due to overwork than well-educated group; The income of single or childless group are more likely to suffer from burnout due to overwork than those who are married or have children; The higher the level of the city, the more the IT technician's income will be affected by burnout due to overwork. Finally, the paper offers several measures to reduce burnout due to overwork at the personal, enterprise and state levels.Firstly, from the personal perspective,we should recognize the phenomenon scientifically and foster positive habits to reduce it.For enterprises,They should regard staff as human capital and be rational about gender differences. What's more, establish related system to protect health. At national level,We should advocate health care, promote health-care culture. Then improve health insurance to prevent burnout due to overwork. And strengthen enterprise responsibility from the aspects of laws and regulations.Above all,it's essential to regulate the labor market.
