With the introduction of geography core literacy and the promulgation of Geography Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)in senior high school,regional cognitive literacy,as one of the core literacy,has become the focus of attention.Region is one of the main characteristics of geography,so regional cognition is very important to learn geography well.Facts show that students are very short of this accomplishment.Therefore,it is of great theoretical significance and practical value to study the cognitive literacy of geographical areas of senior high school students and put forward training strategies.By combing the relevant literature,clarify the research background and status quo,determine the research content.The regional cognitive literacy is divided into three aspects: the perspective of space,the application of regional analysis methods and the interpretation and expression of regional geographical problems,and the evaluation index system of regional cognitive literacy is constructed.By means of questionnaire,conversation and classroom observation,this paper investigates the present situation of regional cognitive literacy of teachers and students in the second and second grade of senior middle school in Yingkou Development Zone.Based on the evaluation index system constructed,the results of the questionnaire are analyzed,and the results show that the overall literacy level of students is between 1 and 2,there is a lack of spatial scale concept,inaccurate regional positioning and regional positioning.The analysis method is improper,the language expression is illogical,the principle expression of regional geography problem is vague and so on.In view of the above problems,according to the requirements of geography thought and curriculum standard,this paper puts forward the teaching mode and concrete teaching strategy of "presenting regional problems,teacher method guidance,group cooperative inquiry,result display evaluation,thinking map construction and activity deepening".In the process of testing the practical value of the training strategy,the experimental class and the control class are designed,and the teaching design is carried out according to the proposed teaching mode and implemented in the experimental class,and the control class is taught according to the original method.The learning effect of the students in the two classes is tested by exercises,and the students' answer to the questions is according to the evaluation index.The situation is divided horizontally.Through comparative analysis,it is found that the overall literacy level of the experimental class is slightly higher than that of the control class,and it is concluded that the adoption of the proposed training strategy for teaching is beneficial to the cultivation and improvement of students' regional cognitive literacy.
