At the end of 2017,the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China released and issued the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools.This curriculum standard added a lot of traditional cultural content.It not only sets up a number of learning task groups about traditional culture,but also increased the catalogue of the ancient poems and articles for recitation which recommended by Ministry of Education from 14 to 72.In the Chinese New Curriculum Standard of senior high school,the number of recommended catalogs for reciting ancient poems and articles has increased,which puts forward new teaching requirements for teachers.Under the circumstance that total teaching time is being constant,it is a new challenge for front-line teachers to balance the teaching content and the teaching quality.The New Curriculum Standard also made a great change in the goal of educating people.This is the first time to put forward the core literacy and learning task group of subjects.It adjusted the evaluation criteria,which also directly affected the teaching of ancient poetry and prose.Under the requirements of the New Curriculum Standard,how to grasp the target direction of ancient poetry teaching deserves the consideration of front-line teachers.The teaching effect of ancient poetry and prose in senior high school is not ideal.With the adjustment of curriculum standards and the increase of teaching tasks,the teaching of ancient poetry and prose will face more problems.Therefore,there is an urgent need for front-line teachers to adjust their logical thinking of teaching,innovate teaching methods and explore new ways of teaching ancient poetry and prose under the New Curriculum Standards in practical teaching.In recent years,under the continuous practice of front-line teachers,the teaching methods of ancient poetry and prose in senior high schools have shown a diversified trend.Both thematic teaching of ancient poetry and prose and reference teaching and other teaching methods have been applied in the front line and achieved some results.However,the teaching of ancient poetry and prose is still mere formality and not deep enough.Therefore,the teaching of ancient poetry and prose under the New Curriculum Standard still has a long way to go.This paper found out the problems through questionnaires of teachers and students in senior high schools and interviews with front-line teachers and put forward some countermeasures for the teaching of reciting ancient poetry and prose recommended by theNew Curriculum Standard from the aspects of the adjustment of teaching thinking,the transformation of teaching methods and the innovation of students' learning methods.
