STEM education was first put forward by the United States as a national strategy to train talents, focusing on the cultivation of students' innovative thinking,hands-on practice and cross-disciplinary application of knowledge to solve problems. At present, the STEM education in our country is in the initial exploration stage, and the corresponding standards and evaluation system have not been formed yet.In recent years,in promoting the STEM education vigorously, many schools have carried out the STEM curriculum regularly and set up innovation laboratories,It allows students to turn ideas into reality in class. However, based on the interdisciplinary learning characteristics of STEM,students may face more challenges and difficulties in the STEM classroom than in the traditional classroom,As far as the current evaluation system is concerned,In STEM class, teachers use the work success as the evaluation criterion of students' learning performance and teaching effect,However, failure is a common learning phenomenon in STEM class, and the failure in STEM class may be more meaningful than success,Let students experience failure in the exploration, may be able to achieve better teaching results. Therefore,in view of the above assumptions and assumptions, this study focuses on the special significance of "failure" for STEM classroom. In this study, based on the effective failure teaching theory of Kapur, the author designs two control classes of effective failure teaching(PF)and traditional teaching(DI)in STEM classroom, and carries on the teaching of UAV programming content to the two classes. In the teaching process of elevated cruise content, the effective failure(PF)class first carries on the task inquiry, then carries on the explanation of the teaching content; The traditional teaching(DI)class first explains the teaching content, and then carries on the task inquiry. In the course of the experiment,we pay attention to the study of studentsundefined failure in learning, the completion of tasks,self-efficacy and so on.Finally, the tunnel monitoring task is based on what they have learned before. The transfer ability and level of the two groups of students after learning were measured and evaluated in order to study the influence and significance of failure on the learning of middle school students in STEM classroom.
