Tutors and postgraduates are two main practice subjects in postgraduate education,and good teacher-student relationship is an important carrier for the smooth operation of postgraduate teaching activities.The companion relationship between tutors and postgraduates is a new teacher-student relationship based on the dialogue and cooperation between tutors and postgraduates in the process of discovering problems,exploring truth and realizing goals.The construction of companion relationship between tutors and postgraduates plays an important role in promoting the cooperation between tutors and postgraduates and improving the quality of postgraduate education.The nature of companion relationship between tutors and postgraduates is firstly analyzed,including the theoretical origin,the connotation of the companion relationship between tutors and postgraduates as well as the role orientation of tutors and postgraduates based on the connotation;then the problems as well as causes during the development of the companion relationship between tutors and postgraduates will be illustrated;the next part discusses how to enhance the companion relationship between tutors and postgraduates,which is beneficial to the cooperation and mutual progress of the tutors and postgraduates.And this part can be divided into four sections,including the aspect of social environment,the aspect of the construction of campus culture in universities and the aspect of tutors and postgraduates' management in colleges and universities as well as the tutors and postgraduates' individual aspects.The conclusion mainly summarizes the whole paper and looks forward to the future research.
