In recent years, free fighting has made a huge impact on the sports world. At the same time, the free fighting of our country has also received more and more attention. Thus,Sichuan province has established the Sichuan Free Fighting Association for the purpose of promoting the development of free fighting and strengthening the market guidance and management. The prosperous development of a sport lies in the sustainable development of the reserve talents, and the key of development of free fighting lies in the reserve talents and trainings of teenagers. Therefore,in order to promote the sustainable development of Sichuan fr-ee fighting, this thesis makes an analytical study on the athletes, trainers and clubs of Sichuan province, trying to gain an in-depth understanding of the factors influencing the youth athletes of free fighting and explore the status quo of the youth free fighting and reserve talents of Sichuan province. This thesis conducts an investigation of some 300 athletes,50 trainers and 5 clubs of the first and second Sichuan Free Fighting Championship for the Youth with the methods of documentary, questionnaire, case study and field observation. It also analyzes such issues, like the male-female ratio of the athletes, age structure, workout frequency, contradictions between learning and training, training venues and facilities, the coaching experience, education background and training frequency as well as the club region distribution of the two sports events, the main research results are as follows:1.Although the young free fighting athletes of Sichuan province enjoy a large talent base, those talents are in a serious imbalance in sex ratio. However,it has shown a little improvement in the second Sichuan Youth Athletes Fighting Championship compared with the first event.2.The young free fighting athletes have sufficient training time to improve their skills, which is very helpful to the training the free fighting reserve talents.3.There is also a serious imbalance in sex ration of free fighting instructors. The number of female instructors is far lower than that of male instructors. And the age of instructors tends to be very young with very short teaching time. However, their education degree and skill level are comparatively high, which can facilitate the training of talents.4.The regional distribution of free fighting clubs of Sichuan province also suffers an imbalance. It shows the radial pattern with Chengdu as its center, there being much more clubs in the eastern areas than in the western areas, which goes against the balanced regional development of the free fighting clubs of Sichuan province.5.Although the free fighting clubs of Sichuan province enjoys sufficient space and equipment, there are still some problems existing in the shortage of strength machines, which cannot meet the needs of many people doing trainings at the same time.6.Some club's training courses for young free fighting athletes are not systematic. Many of the training courses only focus on Sanda or Muay Thai. And they bone up on free fighting training only for competition before the sports event.7.The training frequency for teenager athletes is quite reasonable. Most of the trainings are being carried on after school or on weekends, which will ease the contradictions between learning and training as well as help the learning of general knowledge courses.
